CLEVELAND, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony's jumper with 1.9 seconds left in overtime lifted the Denver Nuggets to a 118-116 victory over Cleveland Thursday.

The Cavs had one last chance for the win, but LeBron James (43 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds) missed a desperation 3-point try at the buzzer as Cleveland's 13-game winning streak came to an end.

Anthony ended with 40 points while Kenyon Martin contributed 18 points and grabbed 17 boards as Denver won its first game since head coach George Karl disclosed he is suffering from a treatable form of neck and throat cancer.

Shaquille O'Neal added 18 points for Cleveland in the loss.
