BOSTON, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- The New York Knicks traded guard Nate Robinson to the Boston Celtics as part of a five-player deal, sources say.

Citing a source close to the team, the Boston Herald reported that Robinson and forward Marcus Landry are going to the Celtics in a swap for guards Eddie House and J.R. Giddens, and forward Bill Walker.

The Herald said the trade is pending league approval.

Robinson, 25, is averaging 13.2 points per game from the Knicks this season after coming off a 2008-09 season that saw him average a career-high 17.2 points a game. Robinson is also averaging 3.7 assists and 2.4 rebounds through 30 games this season.

The 5-foot-8 guard recently became the first player to win three NBA dunk contests.

House, 31, has has put up 7.2 points per game in 50 games with the Celtics this year, his 10th in the NBA.

Rookie Landry, who played college for Wisconsin, is averaging just more than 6 minutes per game, while Giddens and Walker haven't seen much court time, averaging 1.1 and 1.0 points per game, respectively.
