Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

CHICAGO, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Derrick Rose returned from a hip injury to score 29 points in limited action, leading the Chicago Bulls to a 118-85 rout of New York Tuesday.
Rose needed only 27 minutes to log the game-high scoring totals, while Luol Deng added 18 points, Kirk Hinrich chipped in 14 with eight boards and Jannero Pargo netted 12 more in the win.
Also reaching double figures in Chicago's blowout win were John Salmons and Tyrus Thomas with 11 each and Brad Miller with 10 points.
The slumping Knicks, who have lost four straight, were led by David Lee with 24 points and 12 boards, while Al Harrington contributed 15 points and eight boards. Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler added 10 points each in New York's loss.
