Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Top seed Andy Roddick advanced to the finals of the SAP Open at San Jose, Calif., Saturday but second-seeded Denis Istomin lost his semifinal contest.
Roddick had to come from behind to defeat seventh-seeded fellow American Sam Querrey 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-4).
Unseeded Fernando Verdasco reached the final with a dominating performance, defeating Istomin 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.
