NHL: Colorado 2, Phoenix 1

DENVER, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Matt Duchene scored his second goal of the game with 4:33 to play in the third period Friday, giving the Colorado Avalanche a 2-1 victory over Phoenix.

Colorado, completing a four-game homestand, won its fifth straight -- the last two home victories coming by one goal each.

Duchene scored on the power play 7:58 into the game and Martin Hanzal tied it early in the second period. Duchene produced the deciding goal by tipping in a shot from Brett Clark.

The win went to Craig Anderson, who made 33 saves and won for the 31st time this season.

Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 23-of-25 shots.
