COL BKB: Kansas 73, Iowa State 59

LAWRENCE, Kan., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Xavier Henry netted 18 points to propel No. 1 Kansas to its 56th straight home win Saturday, a 73-59 decision over Iowa State.

Cole Aldrich chipped in with 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Marcus Murray contributed 11 points and pulled down 10 boards for Kansas (24-1, 10-0 Big 12), which used a 14-0 run halfway through the second half to put the game away.

After the Cyclones (13-12, 2-8) pulled to within 40-38 on a Craig Brackins 3-pointer 6 1/2 minutes into the second half, the Jayhawks launched their decisive run, starting with Tyrel Reed's jumper. Tyshawn Taylor went the length of the floor and converted on a 3-point play during the run.

Brackins finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds for Iowa State, while Justin Hamilton contributed 11 points and 12 rebounds and Marquis Gilstrap chipped in with 11 and nine in the loss.
