COL BKB: Brigham Young 91, Air Force 48

PROVO, Utah, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Jonathan Tavernari netted 19 points and Jackson Emery added 18 to propel No. 17 Brigham Young to a 91-48 rout of Air Force Saturday.

Tyler Haws chipped in with 16 points as the Cougars (23-3, 8-2 MWC) blew the game open with an 18-2 skein midway through the first quarter to build their lead to 24-9.

BYU kept pouring it on, following the outburst with another 13-0 run that enabled them to post a 53-20 advantage at the half.

The Falcons (9-15, 1-10) were led by Mike Fitzgerald with 13 points while Michael Lyons added 10 in the loss.
