DENVER, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony, returning from an eight-game absence, scored 19 points to power the Denver Nuggets' 127-91 pounding of Dallas Tuesday.

After missing time with a sprained ankle, Anthony returned to go 8-of-16 from the field, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, to pace Denver to its fourth win in six games.

Nene led the Nuggets with 21 points, while Chauncey Billups added 16 and Chris Andersen contributed with 14 points with 10 rebounds. Denver also got 13 points apiece from Johan Petro and Ty Lawson in a game in which it never trailed.

The Nuggets effectively put the game out of reach by going on a 14-4 first-quarter run to post a 32-21 lead.

The Mavericks were led by Dirk Nowitzki's 17 points. Jason Terry added 16 and Josh Howard chipped in 14 in the lopsided loss.
