CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Jon Scheyer scored 24 points Wednesday and No. 7 Duke pulled away late to put away embattled rival North Carolina 64-54.
The Tar Heels lost for the seventh time in eight games and find themselves in unaccustomed position of being next-to-last place in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Blue Devils improved to 20-4 for the season and to 8-2 in ACC play.
North Carolina (13-11, 2-7) was led by Will Graves with 13.
