NHL: Phoenix 6, Edmonton 1

GLENDALE, Ariz., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Matthew Lombardi scored two goals and provided three assists Monday, leading the Phoenix Coyotes to their seventh win in eight games, a 6-1 rout of Edmonton.

Ed Jovanovski, James Vandermeer, Radim Vrbata -- who played in his 500th NHL game -- and Robert Lang posted the other Coyotes' goals.

Dustin Penner scored for the Oilers in their 10th straight defeat on the road.

Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 33 shots for Phoenix and Jeff Deslauriers blocked 27 for Edmonton.
