RALEIGH, N.C., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Matt Cullen and Joni Pitkanen each registered a goal and an assist Tuesday to pace the Carolina Hurricanes' 4-1 win over Florida.

The Hurricanes also got a goal from Jussi Jokinen as they won for the third straight time and for the seventh time in nine games.

Manny Legace was sturdy in the nets with 19 saves in the win.

The Panthers, who have yet to win in February, got their only goal from Cory Stillman. Tomas Vokoun gave up three goals on 29 shots for Florida.

Carolina took the lead for good at 2-1 with 7 minutes remaining in the second period on Pitkanen's fourth goal of the season. He sent a slap shot past Vokoun from the right point after receiving a pass from Ray Whitney.
