SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Kentucky freshman John Wall is among this season's candidates for the Bob Cousy Award, given annually to the nation's top college guard.

Among others on the list of 11 finalists are seniors Jon Scheyer of Duke, Scottie Reynolds of Villanova and Michigan State junior Kalin Lucas, the reigning Big Ten Conference Player of the Year.

Wall, a 6-foot-4 native of Raleigh, N.C., has averaged more than 16 points per game while leading the Wildcats to the third spot in the latest ESPN/USA Today coaches poll.

Reynolds, who changed his mind about entering this year's NBA Draft, has led the Wildcats to a No. 2 ranking by scoring nearly 19 points per contest.

Scheyer has averaged 18.9 points and more than five assists for the ninth-ranked Blue Devils, and Lucas is scoring 15.6 points with four assists for the fifth-ranked Spartans.
