Toronto's Phil Kessel and Luke Schenn both had 3-point nights -- two goals, one assist -- while Tyler Bozak scored once for the Maple Leafs, who had lost seven of eight.

Ottawa net-minder Brian Elliott yielded four goals on 30 shots in the first two periods, including two 28 seconds apart in the first period.

Pascal Leclaire yielded the fifth goal for the Senators, whose franchise-best winning streak started Jan. 14 with a 2-0 win over the New York Islanders.

Toronto observed a moment of silence for Brandon Burke, the youngest son of General Manager Brian Burke, who was killed Friday in a car crash in Indiana.
