Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NASHVILLE, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Dany Heatley scored a decisive power-play goal in the third period of San Jose's 4-3 road victory over the Nashville Predators Saturday.
Heatley finished the night with two goals and an assist to help the Sharks win for the third time in their last four contests.
Heatley scored on a wrist shot at 11:57 of the third period to snap a 3-3 tie. He also scored a power-play goal in the second period that tied it 2-2.
Rob Blake and Brad Staubitz scored the other San Jose goals. Evgeni Nabokov turned in 35 saves.
J.P. Dumont had a pair of goals for Nashville. Joel Ward also scored and Cal O'Reilly added three assists. Pekka Rinne had 25 saves.
