COL BKB: Tennessee 59, LSU 54

BATON ROUGE, La., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Bobby Maze and Scotty Hopson combined for four free throws over the final 17 seconds Thursday, allowing No. 14 Tennessee to fight off LSU 59-54.

The Volunteers shot only 40 percent from the field, but they held LSU to 30 percent. Despite making just 18 field goals for the entire game, the Tigers rallied from a late 14-point deficit to get within one with 18 seconds to play.
