NUREMBERG, Germany, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Reigning women's U.S. Open winner Kim Clijsters and her daughter have been honored in Germany with Barbie dolls in their likenesses, Barbie International said.

The dolls were unveiled Wednesday in Nuremburg on the first day of the world's largest toy fair along with ones resembling Swedish Crown Princess Victoria and British author J.K. Rowling. While the commemorative dolls are one-of-a-kind versions for now, they could be mass-produced for the retail market later, the company said.

"When I was a young girl I played with my Barbie dolls all the time and took them with me everywhere I went," Clijsters, 26, said in a statement. "I am therefore deeply honored and humbled (and) I was really excited when I found out that Jada would also receive her very own Barbie doll."

Jada was born Feb. 27, 2008, to the Belgian tennis star and former U.S. basketball player Brian Lynch when she retired for two years to start a family.

"She is a reflection of today's women who manage successful careers while enjoying their families and celebrating motherhood," said Barbie International Senior Vice President Rosa Zeegers.
