COL BKB: Wisconsin 67, Michigan State 49

MADISON, Wis., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Jason Bohannon scored 19 points and Jordan Taylor had 17 Tuesday to lead No. 16 Wisconsin to a 67-49 drubbing of fifth-ranked Michigan State.

The Badgers (17-5) shot 50.9 percent from the field while Michigan State (19-4) stumbled with a 37 percent shooting mark and lost start guard Kalin Lucas to a sprained ankle.

Durrell Summers scored 11 points and Rob Wilson had 10 -- the only Spartans in double figures.

Wisconsin, which dominated from the start, improved to 13-0 at Kohl Center. The Badgers were ahead 10-1 and had run 4 minutes off the clock by the time Michigan State hit its first field goal.

After trailing 38-23 at halftime, the Spartans managed a modest rally that made it 42-34 just short of 6 minutes into the second half.

Wisconsin then pulled away as Michigan State once again went cold and failed to hit a bucket for nearly 7 minutes. The Badgers held a 15-point lead with just under 4 minutes to play.
