
CLEMSON, S.C., Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Jerai Grant, playing his best game this season, had 18 points and 12 rebounds Sunday, leading No. 21 Clemson to a 62-53 ACC win over Maryland.
The Tigers shot just 31.9 percent, but benefited from 26 Maryland turnovers.
They held on after building a 38-27 lead on Grant's 3-point play with 15:27 remaining.
Andre Young scored 12 with three assists and seven steals. Trevor Booker added 10 points, all in the second half, and 16 rebounds for the Tigers (16-6, 4-4), who ended a three-game losing streak.
Jordan Williams led Maryland with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Eric Hayes scored 11 and Greivis Vasquez had 10 points with three rebounds for the Terps (14-6, 4-2), who had won four in a row since an 85-83 overtime loss at Wake Forest Jan. 12.
