NBA: Cleveland 109, Minnesota 95

CLEVELAND, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- J.J. Hickson produced a career-best 23 points Wednesday and the Cleveland Cavaliers picked up their sixth straight victory -- 109-95 over Minnesota.

Hickson made 8-of-10 from the field and was perfect in seven free-throw attempts while playing less than 25 minutes.

Cleveland has downed the Timberwolves in their last nine meetings dating to November 2005.

LeBron James played a relatively quiet 31 minutes for Cleveland, taking just eight shots and making three of them. He scored 12 points with 11 assists.

The Timberwolves, losers of five in a row, got 22 points from Corey Brewer and 20 from Kevin Love.

Cleveland had an 11-3 run late in the second quarter en route to a 60-48 advantage the break. Minnesota came no closer than 10 during the second half.
