DETROIT, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Shane Doan scored 3:50 into overtime Tuesday to send the Phoenix Coyotes to a 5-4 triumph over the Detroit Red Wings.

The Red Wings were clinging to a 4-3 lead late in regulation when Ed Jovanovski scored with 23 seconds left after the Coyotes had pulled goalie Ilya Bryzgalov for an extra attacker on the ice.

Keith Yandle contributed two goals and Scottie Upshall scored once for Phoenix, which won for the fourth time in six games. Bryzgalov logged 31 saves in the victory.

Detroit, which fell to 1-3-2 in its last six games, was paced by a pair of goals from Nicklas Lidstrom. Pavel Datsyuk and Patrick Eaves also lit the lamp for the Red Wings while Jimmy Howard allowed five goals on 37 shots.
