AMES, Iowa, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- No. 3 Kansas used Cole Aldrich's 19 points and 11 rebounds Saturday to post an 84-61 Big 12 win at Iowa State.
The Jayhawks (18-1, 4-0) also mustered 16 points from Marcus Morris and 11 points from Sherron Collins, who also had six assists.

The Cyclones (12-7, 1-3), led by Marquis Gilstrap's 18 points and 12 rebounds, lost for the third time in four games. Craig Brackins and Justin Hamilton also hit double figures.
Kansas took control of this game with a 14-5 run midway through the first half that left it with a 38-25 lead at halftime.
The game continued to go the Jayhawks' way in the second stanza. An Aldrich basket at the 4-minute mark made it 50-32 and a Tyshawn Taylor 3-pointer made it 67-45 with 9:37 left.
