LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed outfielder Andre Ethier and closer Jonathan Broxton to two-year contracts, the Los Angeles Times said.

Ethier got $15.25 million and Broxton $11 million.

Last season, Ethier batted .272 with 31 homers and 106 RBI.

Broxton (7-2) made 36 saves in 42 opportunities.

The signings mean the reigning National League West Division teams inked all of their arbitration eligible players before the deadline for players and clubs to exchange salary figures, and gives them monetary flexibility for signings of players on the free-agent market.

"We have a better feel for what we have," General Manager Ned Colletti told the newspaper.

The Dodgers also signed outfielder Matt Kemp, catcher Russell Martin, first baseman James Loney, and pitchers George Sherrill and Hong-Chih Kuo in the past week.

MLB.com said former free agents outfielder Manny Ramirez, infielders Jamey Carroll, Casey Blake and Rafael Furcal and pitcher Hiroki Kuroda are under multiyear deals.
