NHL: Vancouver 3, Edmonton 2 (OT)

EDMONTON, Alberta, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Daniel Sedin's goal 1:39 into overtime Wednesday handed the Vancouver Canucks a 3-2 win over Edmonton -- the Oilers ninth straight loss.

Edmonton led 2-1 when Vancouver's Sami Salo tied the score with 4:06 remaining in regulation.

Alexandre Burrows got the other goal for the Canucks, who scored three times on four power-play chances for their second win in a row. Henrik Sedin assisted on all three goals and Daniel Sedin had two assists.

Roberto Luongo stopped 31 shots for Vancouver.

Sam Gagner and Sheldon Souray scored and Devan Dubnyk had 26 saves for Edmonton, which has lost 16 of its last 17 games.
