COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Evan Turner scored 20 points and pulled down 13 rebounds Tuesday to power No. 25 Ohio State to a 76-56 win over Northwestern.
Turner dished off eight assists while Dallas Lauderdale contributed 14 points and Jon Diebler added 17 points and five assists in the one-sided win, in which the Buckeyes (14-5, 4-3 Big Ten) remained undefeated at home.
Ohio State jumped off to a 9-0 lead and never looked back. The Buckeyes pushed their lead to 31-11 when David Lighty canned a 3-pointer near the 6-minute mark and then went on to a 40-17 lead at halftime.
Northwestern (13-5, 2-4), was led by John Shurna's 22-point performance. Drew Crawford added 11 points for the Wildcats, who were held to only 38.3 percent shooting from the floor.
