VIRGINIA WATER, England, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Ryan Palmer's victory in the Sony Open jumped him 109 spots -- from 282nd to 92nd -- in the world golf rankings.

Palmer shot a 4-under-par 66 and won the tournament in Hawaii Sunday by one shot over Robert Allenby. The win was Palmer's third on the PGA Tour.

The veteran Allenby also moved up in the rankings, which were released Monday. Allenby climbed five places to No. 15.

Tiger Woods remains No. 1 for the 241st consecutive week. Phil Mickelson is second, Steve Stricker third, Lee Westwood fourth and Jim Furyk fifth.

Padraig Harrington, Henrik Stenson, Paul Casey, Geoff Ogilvy and Rory McIlroy, in that order, are Nos. 6 through 10.
