NBA: Charlotte 125, Phoenix 99

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson each scored 29 points Saturday in Charlotte's 125-99 rout of the visiting Phoenix Suns.

Wallace also grabbed 13 rebounds and Jackson had five plus five assists in leading the Bobcats to their fourth consecutive win and a 16-4 record on their home floor.

Amare Stoudemire led Phoenix with 19 points. Leandro Barbosa scored 17 off the bench and Robin Lopez added 14.

The Bobcats opened the game with a 12-0 run and a 10-0 surge that staked them to a 43-22 lead after one quarter. The Bobcats led 74-47 at halftime.

Charlotte shot 50.5 percent from the field. The Suns struggled with a 41.7 percent mark and were 8-of-25 from 3-point range.
