
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Wayne Chism's 26 points and 12 rebounds Saturday lifted No. 10 Tennessee past No. 23 Mississippi 71-69 in overtime.
J.P. Prince added 13 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as the Volunteers (14-2, 2-0 SEC) won their sixth straight.
Ole Miss (13-4, 1-2) got double-digit scoring from Chris Warren (19), Terrico White (17) and Zach Graham (16) in slipping to 3-3 in their last six games.
The Rebels led 18-10 midway through the first half and 54-46 with 7 1/2 minutes left in regulation before the momentum started to shift to the Vols. Chism hit two 3-points and Josh Bone, who finished with nine points, added another to make it 55-54 with 5 1/2 minutes left.
Prince made 1-of-2 free throws for a 59-57 Tennessee lead with just over a minute left, but DeAundre Cranston tied the game with 46 seconds left and the game went to overtime where four Chism free throws were the deciding points.
