Miettinen scored on the power play to break the 2-2 deadlock. Owen Nolan added some insurance 7:50 into the third and Miettinen tacked on a goal less than 2 minutes later. Both Nolan and Miettinen have 11 goals this season.

Niklas Backstrom made 29 saves to get the win, his 20th of the season.

Vancouver suffered its third straight loss, with all five goals coming against Roberto Luongo. The Canucks had won in their five previous trips to Minnesota.
