DURHAM, N.C., Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Nolan Smith's 24 points Wednesday led seventh-ranked Duke to a 79-59 ACC victory against Boston College.

The Blue Devils led by just 38-35 at the break but started the second half with an 8-0 run, capped by Kyle Singler's dunk, making it 46-35 with 17:36 remaining and BC trailed until the end.

Singler scored 15 with 10 rebounds, Miles Plumlee 12 with five rebounds, and Jon Scheyer 12 with four assists for the Blue Devils (14-2, 2-1), who have won eight of nine.

Duke compiled a 41-24 second-half scoring advantage.

Reggie Jackson led BC with 20 points and three rebounds. No other player reached double figures for the Eagles (10-7, 1-2), who have lost three of four.

BC sank only 16-of-26 free throw attempts and were out-rebounded, 40-25, by the Blue Devils.
