
PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Blair Betts scored twice Saturday in the Philadelphia Flyers' 4-1 home win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Scott Harnell and Claude Giroux also scored to send the Flyers to their third consecutive triumph.
Martin St. Louis scored the only goal for the Lightning, who were outshot 31-18 and lost for the third time in their last four contests.
Michael Leighton stopped 17 shots in goal for Philadelphia. Tampa Bay's Antero Niitymaki had 27 saves on 30 shots.
Giroux scored on a one-timer at 13:01 of the first period to give the Flyers a 1-0 lead while the Lightning managed only five shots on goal in the period.
After a scoreless second period, Harnell tapped in a goal on a 2-on-1 breakaway at 3:36 of the third.
After St. Louis scored to make it 2-1, the Flyers added an insurance goal by Betts at 16:55. Betts scored again into an empty net as the clock wound down.
