COL BKB: Texas 103, Colorado 86

AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Avery Bradley's 29 points with nine rebounds Saturday helped second-ranked Texas cruise to a 103-86 win over Colorado.

His career-best effort included sinking 12-of-14 field goal attempts (3-of-3 on 3-pointers).

Colorado stayed close early, closing to 35-30 on two free throws from Dwight Thorne II with 7:44 left in the first half, but a 14-2 run helped Texas build a 57-42 halftime lead, a double-digit deficit Colorado faced until the end.

Damion James scored 20 with 14 rebounds, Gary Johnson 12 with three rebounds, and Jordan Hamilton added 12 points with five rebounds for the unbeaten Longhorns (15-0, 1-0 Big 12).

They are 15-0 for the first time since the 1932-33 season.

Marcus Relphorde led Colorado with 24 points and five rebounds.

Alec Burks scored 21 with six rebounds, while Cory Higgins added 15 points for the Buffaloes (9-6, 0-1), who had won three of four.
