COL BKB: Missouri 74, Kansas State 68

COLUMBIA, Mo., Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Marcus Denmon and Zaire Taylor scored 14 points apiece Saturday, pushing Missouri to a 74-68 Big 12 Conference upset of 10th-ranked Kansas State.

Mizzou led 36-33 at the half and countered a string of five points by Denis Clemente by scoring 27 of the game's final 41 points.

Laurence Bowers scored 13 with eight rebounds, while both Justin Safford and Kim English scored eight points for the Tigers (13-3, 1-0 Big 12), who have won eight in a row overall and 30 consecutive home games.

Jacob Pullen led Kansas State with 21 points and three steals.

Clemente scored 16, and Dominique Sutton added five points with nine rebounds for the Wildcats (13-2, 0-1), whose 10-game winning streak ended.

The Tigers shot 43.5 percent from the field to 42 percent for the Wildcats.
