IOWA CITY, Iowa, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Draymond Green's double-double Saturday helped No. 11 Michigan State to a 71-53 Big 10 road victory over Iowa.
Green, who had 14 points and 11 rebounds, was complemented by Kalin Lucas's 14 points, Raymar Morgan's 12 and Chris Allen's 10.
The Spartans (13-3, 3-0 Big Ten), who shot 55.1 percent from the field, have won four in a row since a Dec. 22 loss to Texas.
Matt Gatens was the only Hawkeye in double figures with 16 points. Iowa (5-11, 0-4), which shot just 39.2 percent from the field, has dropped four straight games.
The Hawkeyes started out strong, going up 13-9, but the Spartans doused any hopes of an upset with a 12-0 spurt that included six points by Green and MSU led 36-28 at the break.
The Spartans then stretched their edge out by starting the second half with another 12-0 run capped by two Morgan layups to make it 48-28.
