COL BKB: Texas 96, Arkansas 85

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark., Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Dexter Pittman scored 21 points and Damion James added in 20 Tuesday to pace No. 2 Texas to a 96-85 win over Arkansas.

Gary Johnson came off the bench to pour in 16 points and Avery Bradley contributed 12 for the Longhorns (14-0), who stayed unbeaten en route to their best start since the 1981-82 squad won its first 14 games.

The Razorbacks (7-8) were led by Rotnei Clarke with 24 points while Courtney Fortson, who missed the first 14 games of the season while on suspension, added 19 points and seven assists.

Marshawn Powell scored 18 and Michael Washington had 14 points for Arkansas.
