Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Matt Ryan tossed two touchdown passes for Atlanta in a 20-10 win Sunday over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The win gave the Falcons (9-7) the first back-to-back winning seasons in the 44-year history of the franchise.
Ryan threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Justin Peelle and a 12-yarder to Roddy White.
Matt Bryant booted two 36-yard field goals and Jason Snelling carried 25 times for 147 yards for Atlanta.
Ryan finished with 23 completions in 35 attempts for 223 yards with two interceptions.
Tampa Bay (3-13) scored on an 8 -yard pass from Josh Freeman to Antonio Bryant and a 46-yard field goal by Connor Barth.
Freeman was 16-of-32 for 172 yards and also was intercepted twice.
The season is over for both teams.
