NBA: Memphis 128, Phoenix 103

PHOENIX, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- The Memphis Grizzlies continued their hot streak Saturday, routing the Suns 128-103 in Phoenix.

O.J. Mayo scored 25 points and rookie Sam Young added 22 to lead the Grizzlies to their third consecutive win and sixth victory in their last seven games.

The Grizzlies shot 53.1 percent from the field and hit 8-of-15 from 3-point range.

Amare Stoudemire led the Suns with 29 points. Steve Nash finished with 19 points and 13 assists.

Memphis had a 16-0 run in the second quarter and held a 69-50 lead at halftime.

The Grizzlies then hit their first five shots of the third quarter to extend their lead to 81-56.

Mayo sank a free throw on a technical foul on Suns Coach Alvin Gentry to make it 101-76 at the end of three.

Mayo scored a 3-pointer early in the fourth to make it 112-80.
