ST. LOUIS, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Christian Ehrhoff scored 2:24 into overtime Thursday and the Vancouver Canucks overcame a three-goal deficit to defeat St. Louis 4-3.
Daniel Sedin began the Vancouver comeback by beating Chris Mason with 3:51 remaining in the second period. Mikael Samuelsson brought the Canucks within one 5:46 into the third and Henrik Sedin tied it with his 19th goal, coming with 1:56 left in regulation.
St. Louis forward Brad Boyes was called for a double minor high sticking violation 19 seconds into the extra period and Vancouver eventually capitalized when Ehrhoff took a feed from Kyle Wellwood and put a slap shot from the right circle past Mason.
Vancouver won for the fourth time in five games and Roberto Luongo got the victory with 22 saves.
Mason stopped 26 shots for the Blues, who have lost four straight. St. Louis has won just six home games in 22 tries.
