Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Tim Duncan delivered 23 points Thursday in sending the San Antonio Spurs cruising past Miami 108-78.
The Spurs moved within two games of Dallas at the top of the Southwest Division.
Miami scored only 29 points in the second half and produced its lowest scoring total of the season. San Antonio put together a 53 percent shooting effort.
Duncan made 10-of-13 shots from the field and Manu Ginobili added 18 points. It was San Antonio's fourth straight win.
Michael Beasley scored 26 points for Miami and no other member of the Heat could manage double figures.
The previous Miami low point total was 80, coming in a 10-point win Dec. 23 over Utah.
