

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Two 3-yard touchdown runs by John Clay and a stout defense carried No. 22 Wisconsin to a 20-14 win over No. 15 Miami Tuesday in the Champs Sports Bowl.
Clay, the leading rusher in the Big Ten this season, scored in the first and second quarters and finished with 121 yards.
Badgers quarterback Scott Tolzien was 19-of-26 for 256 yards in the air and Philip Welch kicked a 29-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
Graig Cooper ran for a Miami touchdown in the first quarter and Jacory Harris was 16-of-29 passing for 189 yards, including a 14-yard TD pass to Thearon Collier with 1:22 to play.
Miami recovered the ensuing onside kick but could not get into the end zone before time expired.
Wisconsin (10-3) played tough defense the entire game. They sacked Harris five times and limited the Hurricanes (9-4) to 254 total yards of offense.
