BROOKLYN, N.Y., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Russian Olympic figure skating champion Alexei Yagudin alleges his former "asset manager" embezzled $1.1 million from him, New York court documents reveal.

Yagudin, who won a gold medal in 2002 in Salt Lake City, as well as four World Championships, alleges in a suit filed in U.S. District Court in New York that Michael Goldin has been embezzling money from him since 2003, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

The documents indicate Yagudin claims Goldin told him he'd invested the money in Florida real estate, but the skater claims he never did.

The Post said Goldin, an auto-shop owner, did not return its calls for comment.
