TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Alex Tanguay
and Martin St. Louis
scored and Mike Smith
rejected 31 shots Monday, leading the Tampa Bay Lightning past the Boston Bruins 2-1.
Tanguay tapped in a goal late in the first period and St. Louis banged in a rebound shot with 12 seconds left in the second.
Smith held the Bruins scoreless until Marco Sturm connected, also on a rebound shot. Tim Thomas made 37 saves for Boston, which had won its previous three games.
Tampa Bay has four wins in its last five contests.
