NHL: Chicago 4, Nashville 1

NASHVILLE, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Goalie Cristobal Huet blocked 25 shots Saturday in the Chicago Blackhawks' 4-1 road victory over the Nashville Predators.

Patrick Sharp, Andrew Ladd, Patrick Kane and Dustin Byfuglien scored for the Blackhawks.

Martin Erat scored Nashville's only goal. Pekka Rinne had 36 saves.

After Byfuglien opened the scoring midway through the first period, Erat tied the game at 7:38 of the second with a backhand shot off a breakaway.

Chicago scored three times in the second period to put the game away.

Kane scored the deciding goal on a 2-on-1 breakaway with 7:43 to play in the period. Ladd scored 70 seconds later and Sharp added another with 1:13 left in the second period.
