SEATTLE, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Quincy Pondexter scored 25 points and had 13 rebounds to lead No. 19 Washington past Texas A&M 73-64 in the finals of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series.
Venoy Overton scored 12 points and Isaiah Thomas had nine for the Huskies, who rallied in the second half to grab the victory.
The Aggies (9-3) were led by B.J. Holmes with 17 points and Donald Sloan with 16.
Washington trailed 35-34 early in the second half but then took off on a 19-4 run and led by a comfortable 53-39 margin with under 8 1/2 minutes to play.
Holmes hit a 3-pointer with 2 minutes to play to make it 66-61. Washington, however, sank seven of eight free throws down the stretch to close out the win.
Washington shot 36.4 percent from the field and the Aggies managed 30.3 percent.
Texas A&M's Derrick Roland was taken from the court on a stretcher with a possible broken leg early in the second half.
