Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
CHICAGO, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Tyreke Evans scored 18 of his 23 points during a second-half comeback and the Sacramento Kings overcame a 35-point half deficit Monday to beat Chicago 102-98.
Evans added eight rebounds and the Kings got 17 points from Ime Udoka, 16 from Beno Udrih and 14 from Jason Thompson.
The Bulls had posted a seemingly insurmountable 79-44 lead in the third quarter. But the Kings started a comeback with a 19-5 run that brought them to within 88-69. Udoka hit a pair of treys to cut the deficit to 95-91 with 2:28 to play, and Evans followed up with a 3-point play and tied it with a layup with 1:44 to go.
Evans then gave the Kings a 99-96 lead with a free throw and jump shot with 50.1 seconds remaining in the game.
Luol Deng scored 26 points and Derrick Rose had 24 for the Bulls.
