NHL: St. Louis 3, Vancouver 1

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- David Backes scored twice and Keith Tkachuk had a goal Sunday in the St. Louis Blues' 3-1win over Vancouver.

Ty Conklin made 29 saves for the Blues.

Shane O'Brien scored for the Canucks, who got 23 saves from Roberto Luongo.

The Blues got the winning goal in the second period, when Backes and Tkachuk scored within a span of two minutes.
