
MEMPHIS, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Zach Randolph poured in 32 points and a grabbed career-best 24 rebounds Sunday, powering the Memphis Grizzlies to a 102-96 victory over Denver.
The Grizzlies got 19 points from Rudy Gay while Marc Gasol contributed 14 points and pulled down 13 boards. O.J. Mayo and Mike Conley each had 11 points.
Anthony Carter hit a 3-pointer with three minutes left in the third quarter that got Denver to within 72-67, but Memphis answered with a Gasol layup to start up an 8-0 run to close the period.
Randolph's 3-point play late in the game gave Memphis a 93-88 lead and Conley's layup with 1:44 left put the game away for the Grizzles, who snapped an eight-game losing streak against Denver.
The Nuggets' Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 41 points. Nene ended up with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Kenyon Martin scored 12 points for Denver.
