EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant scored 29 points Saturday to lead the Los Angeles Lakers in a 103-84 romp over the hapless New Jersey Nets.
The Nets led 48-46 at halftime, but could not get any closer than 10 points in the fourth quarter and fell to 2-29 on the season.
Lamar Odom, Jordan Farmar and Pau Gasol each scored 14 points in the game, which was completed as a major winter storm rolled into New Jersey.
New Jersey was led by Devin Harris' 21 points. Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 20 and Brook Lopez finished with 18.
The Nets hit only 11 of their 39 shots in the second half while Bryant scored 18 points over the final two quarters.
The Lakers, who have lost only once in their last 15 games, used an 11-0 run in the third quarter to take control of the contest.
