DALLAS, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Karlis Skrastins and James Neal scored two goals apiece, powering the Dallas Stars to a 4-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings Saturday.

Skrastins' second goal of the game at 1:16 of the third period broke a 3-3 tie and ended a three-game Dallas losing streak.

Marty Turco stopped 30-of-33 shots in goal for Dallas. Detroit's Jimmy Howard allowed four goals on 21 shots.

Pavel Datsyuk, Tomas Holmstrom and Todd Bertuzzi tallied the Detroit goals.

Holmstrom's first-period goal staked the Red Wings to a 1-0 lead that lasted until Skrastins scored on a one-timer at 1:40 of the second period. Dallas took a 2-1 lead at 12:14 on Neal's first goal of the game.

After Datsyuk tied the contest at 4:21, Neal scored again to put Dallas ahead 3-2.

The back-and-forth game was tied once again with a minute left in the second when Bertuzzi beat Turco on a feed from behind the net from Datsyuk.

The tie lasted until early in the final period when Skrastins fired a wrist shot into the top right corner of the net. The two goals marked the first multi-goal game for Skrastins, a defenseman who had just 27 goals in 711 career NHL games.
