PHOENIX, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire scored 28 points and the Phoenix Suns hit 11 3-point shots Tuesday en route to a 116-104 win over San Antonio.
Steve Nash had 25 points and 13 assists for the suns, who improved to 9-0 at home this season.
Tim Duncan's season-high 34 points and 14 rebounds led the Spurs. Roger Mason also enjoyed a season-high with 19 points off the bench.
Phoenix hit 11-of-18 3-point attempts. Goran Dragic connected on 4-of-5 from beyond the arc and Channing Frye nailed 3-of-4.
Three consecutive 3-pointers boosted the Suns to a 61-45 lead with 2:19 to play in the first half. Another clutch 3 by Dragic snuffed out a San Antonio run that had cut the Suns lead to 89-88 early in the fourth quarter.
