INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Peyton Manning's four touchdown passes led Indianapolis to a 28-16 win over Denver Sunday -- the Colts' NFL-record 22nd straight regular-season victory.
Indianapolis (13-0) erased the mark it had shared with New England, which won 21 straight in 2006-08.
Manning overcame four interceptions and completed 20-of-42 passes for 220 yards, including three scoring passes to Dallas Clark, from 10 yards, 1 yard and 1 yard, and a 5-yarder to Austin Collie.
Joseph Addai compiled 116 all-purpose yards -- 67 rushing and 49 receiving -- for the Colts, who secured home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs by earning the conference's top seed.
Manning's heroics put a damper on a record-setting 21 receptions by Denver's Brandon Marshall, who amassed 200 receiving yards, including two 5-yard touchdown catches.
Kyle Orton had 277 passing yards with two touchdowns and one interception and Matt Prater kicked a 28-yard, fourth-quarter field goal for the Broncos (8-5), who have split their last four games.
